This year our NESD Church School Convention will be held at New Mt. Olive AME Church in Chesapeake, VA where the Rev. André Jefferson, Jr. is the pastor on Friday & Saturday, June 28 – 29, 2024.
We want to acknowledge the hard work and achievements of our students who have worked diligently this academic school year with our “Tribute to Students” program. The “Tribute to Students” program will be on Saturday, June 29, 2024 at 11 a.m. The speaker is Akili Corprew of St. Luke AMEC, Chesapeake where the Reverend Dr. Herbert Gibbs is the pastor. We are encouraging the high school and college graduates come and wear their cap & gowns and sit together during the program.
We will be honoring College (including Community, Graduate and Trade, and Professional Schools) and High School Graduates, Dean’s List recipients, students who have achieved Perfect Attendance for the entire school year (grades K-12), and students who have been promoted to the next Grade Level (K-12).
To streamline the process, submissions to be included in the tribute video will be done via Google Forms this year. Upon submission, you will receive a copy of your form. College and High School Graduates will be able to upload a photo. The submission deadline is June 7th. Please submit your forms in a timely matter. We do not want to omit anyone from the presentation. You will find the list of forms and their web addresses below.
